Inmates may receive letters, and photos. Include the inmates name and ID just as the mailing address above shows. Do not send stamps, pencils, or any other items to an inmate. Be sure you do not mark the envelope or letter in any way, lipstick, perfume, crayon art, drawings or markings of any kind will result in the correspondence being returned. Inmates may also receive New paperback books, magazines, newspapers or other printed matter mailed directly from the following: (Be sure to include the inmate name and ID number and send to the inmate mailing address above).
Family and friends of an inmate may send a United States Postal Money order by mail to the inmate mailing address listed above. Inmates may receive no more than $200 by money order. Money orders should be made payable to the inmates full name and ID number and should have the senders complete name and address on it. Mail the completed Postal Money order to the inmate's mailing address above.
Family and friends may also send money online using your bank account at westernunion.com.

For all electronic transfer of funds, the inmate IDOC number and incarcerated last name must be used. Funds will be creditted in 24-48 hours business hours. Funds sent during an inmate transfer between facilities may take longer than 24 – 48 business hours.
The department of correction and rehabilitation encourages family and friends who have positive influences and serve as good role models to communicate and visit with an inmate. This can help the inmate reintegrate with society when they are released.
Bring two forms of identification with you. Acceptable forms of identification include a current photo ID such as a driver’s license, a state ID card, government ID card, military ID/driver’s license, or acceptable documentation of non-U.S. citizenship including a current Passport, or Visa. Expired forms of identification are not valid. Visitors will also be required to provide vehicle information.
Visiting Hours are as follows:
General Population Offenders: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., seven (7) days a week. All visitors must arrive by 4:00 p.m. as no visits will be allowed after that time due to the notification time and time delay in the visit processing.
Segregation Offenders: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., seven (7) days a week. Offenders are only allowed to visit for one (1) hour. All visitors must arrive no later then 12:30 p.m. as no visits will be allowed after that time.
