Visitors must present PROPER IDENTIFICATION, i.e., valid driver’s license with photo, photo ID card (issued by a proper governmental agency and stating the visitor’s name, address and date of birth) or a valid Gaming or Hotel License. Welfare ID cards may not be used. You must register 45 minutes prior to the end of visiting for all visiting hours. Depending on visitor volume, visits are a maximum of 30 minutes per visitor per week (time permitting).
Due to space limitations, only two adult visitors (per inmate) at a time will be permitted to see an inmate. Only two (2) children under the age of 18 (per inmate) will be permitted in the visiting area at a time. Children shall also supply a
form of ID, i.e. School ID, birth certificate or social security card. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must remain with and be closely supervised by the parent or guardian.
Visitors may visit an inmate once per visiting week unless more than one family member is incarcerated and approval is obtained from the Warden. Inmates may have a maximum of two visiting sessions per day. The exchange of any article or item between inmate and a visitor is strictly forbidden.
Visitors should be dressed appropriate to the surroundings.
A dress code will be enforced.
Incoming calls are not accepted for inmates nor are messages delivered. In the event of a family medical emergency, messages may be given to inmates after circumstances are verified by Social Services or the Chaplain. Outgoing COLLECT calls may be made by inmates from each housing unit during certain hours. Telephone calls may be monitored and telephone privileges may be restricted for cause or in an emergency. There is no censorship of outgoing or incoming mail. Letters from attorneys or other public officials (or from
anyone connected with the court system) will be opened (not read) in the presence of addressed inmates and
examined for contraband.
Outgoing mail is sealed by the inmate. All outgoing mail shall be stamped to designate that it is sent from a correctional facility by an inmate. Packages may only be received when authorized in writing by the Warden. Attempts to smuggle contraband or illegal material shall be investigated/prosecuted.
PERSONAL INMATE ACCOUNTS
All funds received will be credited to an inmate’s account. Cash (in person), money orders (through mail)
and Western Union Quick Collect will be accepted for inmate funds accounts. A receipt for all funds accepted
will be given to the inmate. Mailed deposits should include an inmate’s full name and county I.D. number.
All inmates (except state inmates residing in this facility beyond 15 days, federal detainees and individuals held
via interstate agreement) are charged a “user fee” at the rate of $50 per month or any portion of a month. Funds
in inmate accounts may be used for penalties, fines or bail. Medical and dental services are available and a
fee (co-pay) will be assessed for all services and medications.

Transaction fee and deposit amount.
Once a bail has been assessed by the courts, it may be posted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Only cash, bond
agents, Western Union (see above) or certified checks (during business hours) will be accepted. No personal
checks will be accepted. A $30 fee is assessed for processing of all indictable offense bails unless waived
by the court. A valid driver’s license with photo or photo ID card stating the visitor’s name, address and
date of birth issued by a proper governmental agency (welfare ID cards may not be used) must be presented
along with monies for bails. In some cases property bonds may be accepted for bails as approved by the
Superior Court through the County Clerk’s office.

Religious services are held weekly and a Chaplain is assigned to the jail and available for consultation upon request. Participation in services is on a voluntary basis.

This facility is not responsible for scheduling bail/court hearings.
COMMUNITY RELEASE PROGRAMS
The Department of Public Safety offers alternatives to incarceration including Home Electronic Detention and Day Reporting programs. These programs allow some offenders to serve portions of their sentences outside the facility and remain productive citizens who hold jobs and support their families. Participation is strictly limited to subjects sentenced to “county time” (i.e., total of 364 days or less). Program eligibility criteria include various additional factors are considered by the Division Director and/or sentencing authorities.
