You must be on the inmate's approved visitation list prior to visiting.

re: How long to get application approved for visiting

People have reported it taking anywhere from 2-7 weeks to get approved.  It all depends on what time of year it is, how many visiting application are being received.  Each application requires a background check to be completed.  We know it can seem like forever to get your application approved, and be sure to check with the inmate either over the phone or by letter, because often times the prisons leave it up to the inmate to inform the visitors if they have been approved or denied.

Buying your inmate clothing

No, you cannot buy clothing, or any items and send them through the mail.  You can however put money into the inmate's commissary account and they can then use the money to buy these items from the commissary (which is a small store) inside the institution.
