Visiting an Inmate at Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center

The Oklahoma department of correction encourages friends and family members of inmates who demonstrate a good influence to communicate and visit with an inmate. This can help the inmate in the rehabilitation process, and eventually with his or her reintegration back into society. Below are some important things you should know if you are planning on visiting an inmate.

You must be on the inmate's approved visitation list prior to visiting.

Be sure to fill out the Oklahoma Inmate Visitors application prior to your visit.

Visiting Hours are as follows:
Visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays observed by the state, within the limits provided in JEHCC 030118-01 “Visitation”.
All offenders with a DOC number ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8), will be allowed visits on Saturday. All offenders with a DOC number ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9), will be allowed visits on Sundays.
Level 1 offenders are allowed one hour non-contact visits between the hours of 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (unless on DU status).
Level II offenders are allowed to visit from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Offenders on Levels III and IV are allowed to visit from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
All offenders will be allowed to visit on state holidays unless the holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday. If the holiday is on a Saturday or Sunday, the regular visiting schedule will apply.
